Best Masters Ranking 2017

The Edunivesal Best Masters Ranking 2017 is one of the biggest rankings of masters programmes in the world. 4,000 programmes in 30 fields worldwide take part in the survey. These programmes come from more than 1,000 academic institutions from 154 countries. In this ranking a few dozen programmes, including 11 MBAs represent Poland.

The people connected with given academic institutions take part in preparing this survey. The responses are collected from three most important groups: deans and directors of the programmes, students and people responsible for recruiting the graduates of these programmes. The survey is based on the questionnaires assessing three key criteria: the reputation of the programme, the salary of the first employment after graduation and the students satisfaction.

Methodology for MBA Ranking 

The evaluation of reputation of the programme consists of two factors: the HR managers’ opinions on the programme (50%) and general result of the assessment of business school (50%).

The size of salary of the first employment after graduation – is calculated on the basis of data given by the organizers of the programmes that are verified by the team preparing this ranking. The results are weighted depending on the incomes in the selected country. Then some appropriate scales are used according to the type of the programme: EMBA, MBA, and all others.

The indicator of general satisfaction is based on a questionnaire sent out to the programme participants. This questionnaire includes 11 questions and a minimum of 10% of the programme participants must reply to be scored.

The points awarded in each of the three above mentioned criteria are added. Depending on the number of the collected points, the stars are awarded. The best programmes with a final score of between 12 and 15 receive 4 stars.

To present the final results, the programmes are grouped according to the geographical areas. In the field of the Executive MBA and Distance Learning MBA programmes in Eastern Europe, 25 programmes have been ranked this year. Among them seven programmes come from Poland and two are included in top ten. 

Results of MBA Ranking

The standings for the Executive MBA and Distance Learning MBA programmes from Poland are as follows:

2nd place - emba@UW (the University of Warsaw) - (4 stars) (3rd rank in 2016),
5th place - MBA-SGH (the Warsaw School of Economics) - (4 stars) (2nd in 2016),
11th place - Executive MBA Akademia Leona Kozminskiego (Kozminski University) (4 stars) (11th in 2016),
15th place - Executive MBA Szkoly Biznesu Politechniki Warszawskiej (the Warsaw University of Technology Business School) - (4 stars) (10th in 2016)
17th place – MBA in Strategy, Programme and Project Management Politechnika Gdanska (the Gdansk University of Technology) (4 stars) (13th in 2016).
20th place – Executive MBA – Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny in Poznan (the Poznan University of Economics and Business) (3 stars)
25th place – International MBA – GFKM in Gdansk (the Gdansk Foundation for Management Development) (2 stars) 

“The results of this ranking confirm a very strong position of the Polish MBA programmes in our region. Up to five in seven programmes present in the ranking have 4 stars, which means this is a proof for high quality and power of the MBA programmes offered by the Polish academic institutions,” says Jakub Leszczynski, MBA Portal editor.

As far as the Full-time MBA programmes are concerned, among 25 programmes included in the ranking there are 4 programmes from Poland as follows:

1st place - International MBA Programme - CUT Uniwersytet Warszawski (the University of Warsaw) – (4 stars) (2nd in 2016),
4th place - European MBA – Akademia Leona Kozminskiego (Kozminski University) – (4 stars) (5th in 2016),
18th place - MBA Poznan-Atlanta – Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny in Poznan (the Poznan University of Economics and Business) (3 stars) (18th in 2016).
22nd place - MBA - Uniwersytet Mikolaja Kopernika (the Nicolaus Copernicus University) in Torun (2 stars)
